If you have a referral from your Paediatrician or Psychiatrist for an autism assessment, you will be able to claim up to four rebated assessment sessions. This is also known as the Helping Children with Autism – Better Access to Diagnosis. This referral cannot be renewed, once used there are no more rebates available.

If you have a referral from your Paediatrician or Psychiatrist for therapy for ASD, you will be able to claim up to twenty rebates for therapy sessions. This is also known as the Helping Children with Autism Treatment and Management Plan. These rebates can be claimed until your child turns 15, so we often encourage our clients to use this referral only when they have claimed the maximum sessions on a MHCP and/or CDM for the year.
