What is Early Intervention?
Research has shown that early intervention makes a big difference to a child’s development leading to improved outcomes for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and those with other developmental concerns. Benefits may include improved social skills, daily living skills and independent functioning.
Young children with autism who receive early intervention have a much greater chance, later in life, of living independently, securing employment and developing meaningful and lasting relationships. Long-term research has also shown benefits for children as they grow and develop.
Early diagnosis followed by individualised therapy empowers children with autism and their parents to overcome challenges and to live happier, healthier, and more successful lives.
